What I Think About Pokemon Go in the Philippines

6:44 AM

To start with, I am really one of those people who are so much jealous seeing Pokemon Go screen shots on facebook, twitter and other social media networks. I mean, who would not really want to experience the real-time experience of becoming a pokemon trainer? It is not just a common thing for gamers thus, it is also among the trending topics for pokemon fanatics and even those who claim to be such. I miss those days playing Pokémon on gameboy advance, SP and DS.

With this i have some thoughts or opinions about POKEMON GO in the PH

1.    Availability on App Store or Play Store

We all know as of the moment Pokemon Go has not been released in the Philippines, but it is available in Australia, Japan, New Zealand and US, but they say making a Fake GPS and using VPN apps are working but for me? trust me it is worth the wait.

2.    System Requirements and Supported Devices of Pokemon Go

Not all devices can be used in this game because it requires internet connection GPS capable phones, with latest formats of operating systems, processors, graphics and most especially the memory for better gaming performance.
Below are the recommended requirements:

Android Devices

Operating System: Android Jelly Bean & Above
Processor: 1.0 ghz dual core or better
Memory: 1 GB RAM
Hard Disk: 10 MB Free memory space
Graphics: Adreno 305 or better
Internet: Stable broadband internet connection

                iOS Devices

Operating System: Android Jelly Bean & Above
Processor: 1.0 ghz dual core or better
Memory: 1 GB RAM
Hard Disk: 10 MB Free memory space
Graphics: Adreno 305 or better
Internet: Stable broadband internet connection

Note: Above requirements are not necessarily true to all devices, you may want to try it first to see if it will work for you or not.

3.    Convenience

I have tried playing the game after it has been trended around internet, I have downloaded the .apk file because it has not been available in the market. However, I have not experienced the full performance because server for the Philippines has been banned.

So for now, temporarily, we cannot play the Pokemon Go at its best because it has not been released for Philippines L which is really sad.

But I have some thoughts about it if Pokemon Go will finally be released for Philippines I think:

a.    It will be so big deal trending for pinoys, I remember when COC (Clash of Clans) has hit the country. You can see everyone busy with their phones on the green screen.

b.    It will be a costly game, because it requires huge amount of data usage because of the complexity and requirement of the game, data connection must also be stable and strong for better performance. In short, you need to subscribe in a better internet service. No free Wi-Fi in the PHL tho.

c.    Some areas of the Philippines has slow or no network connections, especially at rural areas and some parts of our provinces. Lucky for those who live in metro. And I wonder if they will put pokemons and poke stops in areas where there is less trademarks like in a barrio.

d.    It will surely drain your battery fast because of GPS enabling system, unlike others. So you must have with you your another pack of batteries or power banks.

e.    It will be so exciting for gamers because they will be going outside for an adventurous gaming but I’m concerned on the security of our traffic as well as for civilians. It would make a lot of troubles and chaos if irresponsible gamers will be everywhere. I hope there will be no increase of accidents and criminalities like robbery and even other mode of syndicates (as reported to some news abroad).

f.     They say some glitches and errors are found in the game, so this may be the reason why it is not still available in some parts of the world including PH –because they are running  tests.
